Ken grew up in Boston in a working‑class home where access to sports wasn’t guaranteed. Baseball was the one place he excelled, and it stayed with him through every stage of his life. After bouncing around college, he began a 20‑year Air Force career that took him across the country and overseas — and wherever he served, baseball followed.

Over the years, Ken coached and umpired in nearly every environment the game offers: Little League, Diamond Youth Baseball, YMCA programs, rec ball, travel ball, USSSA, USA Softball, and high‑school baseball through TASO. He has served on boards, coached teams, worked tournaments, and even ran a free training camp for local athletes. He has seen every side of youth sports — the good, the broken, the expensive, and the parts that leave talented kids behind.

Ken has lived in Texas since 2012, spending years in San Antonio and Houston before retiring from the Air Force in 2020 and relocating to Brownwood in 2024. He brought with him the discipline of military service, the perspective of someone who grew up without access, and the experience of raising two children who are now adults — one serving on active duty in the Air Force and one studying engineering at the University of Florida. Their paths reinforced his belief that structure, consistency, and opportunity matter more than anything else.

His academic background in business, political science, and organizational leadership reflects the values he brings to The 96 : community responsibility, structure, ethics, and long‑term development. With no children in the program, his role is focused entirely on building something that serves the region — not himself.

The 96  is not a business venture. It is a community project built to stay affordable, disciplined, and focused on giving young athletes the opportunities he never had growing up. Ken’s leadership is simple: clear standards, consistent coaching, and a program that exists for the kids — not the adults.

Jocelyn grew up in this region and understands firsthand what it means to develop as a fastpitch athlete in West Texas. A former college softball player and Air Force veteran, she brings a level of discipline, technical knowledge, and competitive experience that is rare in youth sports.

Before joining The 96 , Jocelyn coached high‑school softball in the area, working directly with athletes who needed structure, fundamentals, and a voice that understood the game at a higher level. Her coaching style is built on clarity, mechanics, and accountability — the same values she lived as a player and carried through her military service.

Jocelyn has coached, trained, and evaluated athletes across multiple levels of fastpitch, from youth development to high‑school competition. She has worked in rec ball, travel ball, USA Softball environments, and school‑based programs, giving her a full view of what young athletes need — and what they often don’t get.

As Director of Softball Operations, Jocelyn leads the fastpitch side of The 96  with purpose and presence. She sets the standard for coaching, development, and expectations, ensuring that every athlete in the program receives consistent instruction, real fundamentals, and a competitive environment built for growth. Her role is simple: raise the level of fastpitch in the Abilene-Brady-Stephenville "Triangle" and give girls the opportunities she never had growing up.
